A story about an unconventional way--a trip to a wine safari--that my son had a breakthrough at age nine in his expressive speech.
We got lost on the way back, but found some local men and they told us the way to the last portage — we made it back to the car just before it got dark. One wrong turn cost us an extra 2 hours of paddling but it was beautiful nature. We paddled a total of 7 hours on the last day.
All in all, for a simpler trip and I think great fishing Ragged Lake is enough, we saw 2 teenagers catch a nice fish. You get the fall colours everywhere. I fished in Big Porcupine Lake for 3 hours off a solo canoe but no luck.
Ontario is waiting for your next nature adventure!
Best regards from Toronto,
Harald Seemann
