The things your partner should never hesitate to do

There are some thing you just shouldn’t have to ask your partner to do.

Every relationship has its quirks, but every relationship, too, has its commonalities. We match ourselves with people who we believe have our best interests at heart, but the truth of that assumption is often revealed in their actions, rather than their words. There are certain things that our partners should never hesitate to do for us. Whether we are struggling with a difficult decision at work, or battling an illness that has left us defeated and deflated — our partners should strive always to be a helpmeet, and should strive always to prove their love through a combination of words and action.

When it comes to creating a successful, thriving relationship — pretty words aren’t enough. Love requires action, and it requires both ourselves and our partners stepping up to the plate and taking some swings. Action plays important roles in our relationships, least of which is establishing trust, encouraging confidence and empowering us to connect on deeper levels.

Open dialogue goes a long way in allowing us to connect with our partners on deep and meaningful levels, but so too does the action we put behind those words. When we match our actions with the promises we give our partners, it allows us to instill greater trust which in-turn reinforces the deep connections we need in order to create partnerships that can stand the test of time.

We’ve all been let down by words. Words are easy, where actions are hard. They require very little effort, while action is based solely on effort. When the people we love actually go above and beyond to show us that they love us, it goes a long way and instills both confidence and trust in who they are and what they promise us. It allows us to belive them when they say “forever”.
