Top 5 Things to do in Brussels in a day

Hello Friends.. Here we bring you new blog about places to visit in Brussels Belgium in a day. These recommendations are based on my last 5 visits to Belgium and something that you can cover in a day.

This place is the is the central square of Brussels. Top in the list of things to do in Brussels in a day. It is surrounded by opulent guildhalls and two larger edifices, the city’s Town Hall, and the King’s House or Breadhouse (French: Maison du Roi, Dutch: Broodhuis)
building containing the Museum of the City of Brussels. I was fortunate enough to visit this place during flower carpet event which is organised every two years. Next event will be in year 2020.

Manneken Pis or Little Pissing Man is a bronze sculpture and famous landmark in Brussels. This place is very close to Grand Place and you can just walk for few minutes. You may be surprised to look at the size of this sculpture but this is a symbol of Belgian open society and openness in their thought process.

This place sells a wide range of souvenirs related to the locally beloved comics character Tintin . It has a lots of comic books, souvenirs, all dedicated to Tintin. This place is very close to major attractions and easy to find.

This shop has exposition of figures themed to every adventure of TinTin and items cost you from few Euro’s to several hundred Euro’s. You can navigate through this address if you are new in the town. Rue de la Colline 13, Brussels 1000, Belgium.

This is a landmark building in Brussels, originally constructed for the 1958 Brussels World Expo (Expo 58). It has stairs, escalators and a lift (in the central, vertical tube) to allow access to the five habitable spheres, which contain exhibit halls and other public spaces. The top sphere includes a restaurant which has a panoramic view of Brussels.

This place is very well connected by metro line. You can go inside after paying entry ticket or click photos outside for free. Addition to this, you can buy combo ticket for Mini Europe and Atomium.

Take the Metro from Brussels Central station to Brussels Midi. Go to #6 metro line and take to Heysel stop. Walk approximately 5–10 minutes through parking lot to Atomium and you will find your destination.

Timing to visit Atomium — 10:00 AM — 6:00 PM

is a miniature park located in Bruparck, at the foot of the Atomium. Mini-Europe has reproductions of monuments in the European Union on display, at a scale of 1:25. Roughly 80 cities and 350 buildings are represented.Mini-Europe receives 350,000 visitors per year. You can easily spend 2 hours here looking at creation of various artists. In addition to this, you can also visit Atomium.

Although , it is small but it has lovely exhibits, waterways and gardens attractive and very well maintained . Dont go by the name Mini Europe, becuase it has miniature from Europian Union and not whole of Europe. This is a fun ride. Above all, great experience for kids.
