Finished or Unfinished?

I have been having this reoccurring thought for a while, is it better to finish things or not?

Me being a perfectionist I have wanted to finish every project I ever started and if I don’t I feel I have failed myself. But lately I have found that some things that I have started I am glad I never finished.

For example I love cliff hangars, so if I leave a TV series unfinished it is like a constant cliff hangar, my brain comes up with how I would like it to finish, but I will never know for sure and it gives me excitement. Next when I do finish a certain projects, shows, or other things I feel terrible because I know it is finished I don’t get to continue it.

Then again I hate not finishing things, so it is a constant worry of do I finish this or leave it unfinished. There are some things that are obvious that we should finish like homework from school, and projects for work. A sense of accomplishment comes from finishing those is amazing.

Other things like TV shows, book series, and anything that you do for yourself I say choose whether you want to finish it or not. Leave it where you want to leave it, continue adding on to that project that you really want to keep doing. I will leave it at one more thing, if you do have something amazing that needs to be shown to the world finish it. There is someone out there that will think it is amazing, and it will feel better to finish it.
